Minister Vong Sauth Praises Students in Ponhea Krek and Kamchay Mea Districts for Their Exam Results

TBONG KHMUM: The Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Vong Sauth, praised and appreciated the efforts of the school principal and teachers at all levels who have worked hard to train students to study well. He made these praising remarks while meeting with students who passed the 2021 high school diploma exam from Tbong Khmum province and Prevy Veng province.

In Ponhea Krek district, Tbong Kmum commune, there were 984 candidates who took the Baccalaureate exam, and 676 who passed, equivalent to 68.7%. There were eight A grade candidates, 29 B grade candidates and 118 C grade candidates. Students from Kamchay Mear district, Prey Veng province had two A grade candidates, five B grade candidates and 11 C grade candidates.

The Minister said that the results achieved by the students now are due to the efforts of the children, parents, teachers, local authorities at all levels and especially the Royal Government, for providing an environment of peace, stability and complete social security, that has allowed for there to be a good quality education system for students to learn and build their ability to be good children, friends, students and citizens who will decide the fate of their country in the future.

During the visit Minister Vong Sauth also instructed students to continue to study and absorb knowledge and experiences as wisdom in order to strengthen and expand their capacity in the future.

The 10 candidates who passed with A grade each received $500 dollars, the 34 B grade candidates each received one cell phone, and the 129 C grade candidates each received 400,000 Riels. Those candidates who got D and E grades each received 100,000 Riels.
